Welcome!

This blog is designed to answer a growing need for information on issues related to chronic pain and women’s health.

I am a physical therapist who works with patients in these areas.  My patients all express a common fear.  They think they are the only ones with whatever condition they have.  Most people are familiar with the more common health problems such as diabetes and heart disease and know others with these conditions.  For people who have conditions such as pelvic pain or fibromyalgia, they often feel alone in their suffering.  These conditions aren’t often in the news, let alone discussed at the dinner table. Even family members may not comprehend the effects of pain and dysfunction on your life.

This blog is intended to be a place to find information, share comments, laugh, and learn.  I will post reviews of research and useful products, information on conditions related to chronic pain and women’s health, and things you can do to take care of yourself.

I hope you find this useful and contribute to the “conversation”.

The first few posts will be information on conditions related to chronic pain and women’s health that are most likely to be covered in this blog.  This will serve to let you know the basics about each condition and have a starting point for understanding each and how physical therapy can help. They are not intended to completly cover all conditions that physical therapy can help, just basic information on subjects you might run into here.
